At the entrance to the temporarily captured Mariupol, the invaders turned a residential neighborhood into a desert.

“Kuprin Street. Entrance to Mariupol from Nikolske side. Desert on the site of former houses. Those that we see every day in the video memories of Mariupol residents," Petro Andriushchenko, adviser to Mariupol mayor, posted on Telegram.

He noted that it was in this area that the enemy army broke into the city, shooting residential buildings from tanks.

"The work was completed by Solntsepyok [heavy flamethrower system]. And then the civilian occupiers came. It's hard to imagine how a residential neighborhood was turned into a desert in just one year," the mayor's adviser added.
