Ammunition, equipment, air defense: Zaluzhnyi, Milley discuss Ukraine's defense needs

Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Valerii Zaluzhnyi and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley have discussed the defense needs of Ukraine.

According to Ukrinform, Zaluzhnyi said this in a Telegram post.

"I had a phone call with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley. We discussed a number of important topics for us. I focused in detail on the issue of Ukraine's defense needs," he wrote.

Zaluzhnyi said both parties had discussed the supply of ammunition and equipment. He also emphasized the need to strengthen Ukrainian aid defense capabilities.

In addition, Zaluzhnyi informed Milley about the situation on the battlefield. Both parties agreed to continue dialogue and joint work.

"I am thankful to U.S. President Joe Biden, General Mark Milley personally and all people of the United States for their support of Ukraine," Zaluzhnyi said.
