Six civilians killed in Russia’s shelling of Donetsk region

Six civilians have been killed and nine injured in Russia’s shelling of the Donetsk region over the past day.

The relevant statement was made by Donetsk Regional Military Administration Head Pavlo Kyrylenko on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“On January 26, 2023, Russians killed six civilians in the Donetsk region: two in Ocheretyne, two in Bohoiavlenka, one in Avdiivka and one in Paraskoviivka. Nine more people were injured,” Kyrylenko wrote.

Additionally, it is now impossible to count the exact number of casualties in Mariupol and Volnovakha, Kyrylenko noted.

A reminder that, on January 26, 2023, Russian troops launched 44 air strikes, including 18 with Shahed-136 suicide drones. All of them were shot down. The enemy also fired 70 missiles, of which 47 were destroyed by the Ukrainian side.
