Armed Forces of Ukraine hit three Russian command posts, artillery cluster

The missile and artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit three Russian command posts and an artillery cluster during the day.

This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 18:00, January 26, posted on Facebook.

"The enemy does not abandon its intentions to destroy the critical infrastructure of our state, strikes civilian objects and homes of the civilian population. The threat of air and missile strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains," the report reads.

During the day, the enemy launched 37 airstrikes, including 17 with the use of Shahed-136 UAVs. All the drones were shot down. In addition, the Russian invaders launched 59 missiles, 47 of which were destroyed. Unfortunately, some civilian objects were hit and civilian casualties were reported. In addition, the invaders launched 53 MLRS attacks.

To achieve the previously declared goals, despite significant losses, the enemy continues going on the offensive in Bakhmut and Novopavlivka directions. In Lyman and Avdiivka directions, the enemy made futile attempts to improve its tactical position. In the rest of the directions, the enemy defends itself.

In Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna, and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the situation did not change, no enemy offensive groups were detected. Joint training of the aviation component of the regional grouping of the armed forces of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus continues. At the same time, Tymonovychi in Chernihiv region; Pavlivka and Tymofiivka in Sumy region; Strilecha, Ternova, Starytsia, Vovchanski Khutory, Kolodiazne, and Novomlynsk in Kharkiv region came under mortar and artillery fire.

In Kupyansk direction, the enemy shelled the areas of Dvorichna, Orlianka, Pishchane, Berestove, Lozova in Kharkiv region; Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region; Ivanivka in Donetsk region.

In Lyman direction, Makiyivka, Nevske, Chervonopopivka, Dibrova, and Kuzmyne in Luhansk region; Yampolivka in Donetsk region came under tank and artillery fire.

In Bakhmut direction, Spirne, Bilohorivka, Krasna Hora, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Bila Hora, Pivnichne, and New York in Donetsk region were struck.

In Avdiivka direction, the enemy shelled Avdiivka, Vodiane, Heorhiivka, and Marinka.

In Novopavlivka direction, Vuhledar, Velyka Novosilka, and Vremivka in Donetsk region were hit.

In Zaporizhzhia direction, the areas of more than 20 settlements, particularly Novopil in Donetsk region; Chervone, Huliaypole, Zaliznychne, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Orikhiv, and Stepove in Zaporizhzhia region, came under artillery fire.

In Kherson direction, the invaders again shelled Kherson city and its suburbs with artillery.

Counter-intelligence measures are ongoing in some temporarily captured settlements in Kherson region. Russian invaders are actively looking for Ukrainian patriots. The Russian invaders set up a torture chamber in the building of the former Hornostaivka district department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kherson region.

In the temporarily occupied Simferopol, all budgetary institutions received an instruction to reduce staff by 10 percent under the pretext of reform. It is also known that the lists of persons subject to "optimization" must be drawn up by February 1.

During the day, Ukraine’s Air Force launched eight strikes on the enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment clusters and hit a position of the enemy's anti-aircraft missile system. In addition, the Ukrainian defenders shot down three Russian reconnaissance UAVs.
