One killed, four injured in Russia’s shelling of Toretsk, Bakhmut

One civilian was killed and four injured as Russians struck the Donetsk region’s Toretsk, Bakhmut and Bakhmut district with cannon artillery.

The relevant statement was made by Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“One killed and four injured: pre-trial investigations were launched into the shelling of the Bakhmut district,” the report states.

According to the investigative data, on January 25, 2023, Russian troops again struck two cities, Toretsk and Bakhmut, and the Bakhmut district with cannon artillery. Enemy projectiles hit a residential area.

As a result, a man, 44, was killed. Four more people received shrapnel injuries, including a 76-year-old woman and her 50-year-old son.

Detached houses, household buildings and other objects were damaged.
