Enemy shells two communities in Sumy region with mortars

Russian aggressors launched a total of 27 strikes on two border communities in Sumy region on Friday, January 20.  

Dmytro Zhyvytskyi, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.

"During the day, the Russians shelled two border communities and struck them 27 times," the regional governor said.

In particular, the enemy used mortars to fire at Bilopillia community - a total of 20 "hits" were recorded.

The Esman community also came under mortar shelling, seven explosions were recorded.

According to Zhyvytskyi, there were no casualties or damage.

As reported, on January 15, a school and a kindergarten were damaged as a result of Russian shelling of Sumy region’s border communities.
