Russian forces shell Kherson region 49 times on Jan 12

Russian invaders shelled the Kherson region 49 times on January 12, killing one person and injuring two others.

According to Ukrinform, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Yaroslav Yanushevych, said this on the Telegram messaging app.

"Information on enemy shelling for the past day, January 12. Yesterday, one person was killed by Russian shelling, and two residents of the Kherson region sustained injuries of varying degrees of severity," the report reads.

According to the report, Russian aggressors used artillery, MLRS, mortars, tanks and launched a missile strike.

The Russians attacked Kherson city seven times. Enemy shells hit private and apartment buildings.

Volodymyr Litvinov, the head of the Beryslav District Military Administration, wrote on Telegram that on January 12, the enemy shelled the Beryslav, Velyka Oleksandrivka, Novooleksandrivka, Novoraisk, Mylove, and Tiahynka territorial communities. Among them are the city of Beryslav, the villages of Davydiv Brid, Havrylivka, Zolota Balka, Chervonyi Maiak, Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Tiahynka, Odradokamianka, and Olhivka.

Enemy shelling damaged civilian infrastructure, apartment blocks, private residential buildings and outbuildings. According to Litvinov, there are no civilian casualties.
