Russians injure 880 children in Ukraine

The Russian army has killed 453 children and injured at least 880 others in Ukraine.

According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office said this in a post on Telegram.

"More than 1,333 children were affected in Ukraine due to the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. As of the morning of January 13, 2023, the official number of child victims has not changed - 453. The number of those injured has increased - to more than 880," the report reads.

The figures are not final as work is underway to establish them in areas of hostilities and in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

Most children were killed or injured in the Donetsk region - 429, Kharkiv region - 269, Kyiv region - 117, Kherson region - 83, Mykolaiv region - 82, Zaporizhzhia region - 81, Chernihiv region - 68, Luhansk region - 66, and Dnipropetrovsk region - 40.

It emerged that a 15-year-old boy was wounded in enemy shelling in the village of Poltava, Luhansk region, on December 28.

Some 3,126 educational institutions were damaged due to bombardment and shelling by the Russian armed forces, and 337 of them were completely destroyed.
