Lithuania will send air defense and anti-aircraft systems to Ukraine - Nauseda

Lithuania will transfer air defense and anti-aircraft systems to Ukraine.

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda said this at a joint press conference with Presidents Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine and Andrzej Duda of Poland in Lviv on January 11, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"Today I brought good news for Ukraine - we are handing over air defense systems and certain anti-aircraft systems that should help you in the fight [against Russian aggression]," Nauseda said.

He added that there are political disputes in Lithuania on various issues, but there have never been any discussions about support for Ukraine.

"All political parties fully agree that the aid should be maximal, and [Ukraine's] victory should be as quick as possible," Nauseda said.

Earlier, Presidents Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine, Andrzej Duda of Poland and Gitanas Nauseda of Lithuania signed a declaration at the Lublin Triangle summit in Lviv on January 11, which says that Lithuania and Poland support Ukraine's membership in NATO and seek consensus on this issue among Allies.
