Ukrainian forces hit Russian boat near Bilorudyi Island in the Dnieper

On January 9, 2023, in the Tavria direction, Ukraine’s Defense Forces hit a Russian boat near Bilorudyi Island in the Dnieper.

The relevant statement was made by the Strategic Communications Directorate of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU StratCom) on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“In the Dnieper, the Tavria direction’s Defense Forces struck a Russian boat with artillery on January 9, 2023. The enemy vessel was hit near Bilorudyi Island,” the report states.

The type of the boat is yet to be checked.

A reminder that, between February 24, 2022 and January 10, 2023, Russia’s total combat losses in Ukraine reached about 112,470 troops.
