Ukraine’s Armed Forces preparing for new Russian attacks - Ignat

Ukraine’s Air Force and Defense Forces are preparing for new Russian attacks, which Russia is likely to carry out on January 7.

Yuriy Ignat, spokesman for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said this on Channel 24, Ukrinform reports.

"We are expecting, we are preparing. You see that there have been attacks for three days in a row, how they have planned it, we don't know. We just have to prepare for it," said Ignat.

As reported by Ukrinform, from December 31, 2022 to January 2, 2023, Russia launched massive air strikes against Ukraine using missiles and UAVs. Air defense forces destroyed 39 Shahed drones, two Orlan-10 UAVs and a Kh-59 guided air missile on the night of January 1-2, 2023. On the night of December 31, 2022 to January 1, 2023, Ukrainian defenders destroyed 45 Iranian-made Shahed-131/136 kamikaze drones.
