Enemy shells Kharkiv region’s border area, a woman injured

The Russian forces shelled the border area of Kharkiv region yesterday, December 27.

Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"The enemy used artillery, tanks, mortars and other weapons to fire at the border area of Kharkiv region and settlements located near the contact line during the past day. The Kupiansk direction suffers the most," Syniehubov said.

He also said that private houses were damaged by shelling in Kupiansk and the town of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi. Settlements of the Kharkiv and Chuhuiv districts also came under enemy fire.

According to the Regional Center for Emergency Medical Aid, a 57-year-old woman received a blast injury in Kupiansk as a result of shelling. She was hospitalized, her condition is serious.

In addition, in the Izium district, a 23-year-old man was injured in a blast of an explosive device. He was taken to the hospital, his condition is moderate.
