Loud explosion heard in downtown Melitopol - mayor

A loud explosion was reported in the center of Melitopol, a city temporarily captured by the Russian invaders.

Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov said this in a post on the messaging app Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"According to eyewitnesses, a car used by the Rashists was blown up," he wrote.

Information on passengers and their condition is being clarified.

Local media reports said the blast occurred near Gorky Park.

On December 22, a car with a collaborator was blown up in the captured territory of the Kherson region. According to preliminary information, this is a "Gauleiter" of Liubymivka and Vasylivka in the Kakhovka district.
