Iran to increase supplies of advanced weapons to Russia - Israeli intelligence

Director of Israeli intelligence (Mossad) David Barnea says Iran is preparing to expand supplies of advanced types of weapons to Russia.

This was reported by Vesty.co.il, according to Ukrinform.

"Tehran has far-reaching plans to expand the supply of advanced weapons systems to Russia. At the same time, it is trying to hide this operation under a veil of secrecy," Barnea said, speaking at a ceremony to award servicemen for excellency.

He also devoted a separate part of his speech to Iran's attempts to build up its nuclear potential.

"We are warning through various channels about Iran's intentions to expand its nuclear project and uranium enrichment, as well as about the Iranian regime's intention to intensify attacks on Israel-friendly Muslim nations in the region," added the head of the Mossad.

It is noted that yesterday, shortly before the start of the award ceremony, there was a phone call between Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Israeli leader expressed concern over the strengthening of ties between Russia and Iran, including in the Syrian direction.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Secretary of the NSDC, Oleksiy Danilov, said that Ukraine has full information about Iran's supply of drones to the Russian Federation.
