Ukraine brings back three more children kidnapped by Russia – Lubinets

Three more children, who were taken to Russia’s Medvezhonok children’s camp, have returned to Ukraine.

The relevant statement was made by Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Three more children, who were separated from parents and, under the pretext of ‘rehablitation’, were taken to Medvezhonok children’s camp in Russia’s Gelendzhik in August 2022, have returned home,” Lubinets wrote.

In his words, the incident took place during Russia’s occupation of the Kharkiv region. Acting as the ombudsman, Lubinets assisted the family in receiving financial support via the Caritas Ukraine charitable foundation and helped the parents to obtain foreign passports in order to bring their children back to Ukraine.

Currently, a total of 13,613 children are listed as deported, Lubinets added.
