Russians launch 83 strikes on six communities in Sumy region

On December 19, 2022, Russian troops launched 83 strikes on the Sumy region’s border communities.

The relevant statement was made by Sumy Regional Military Administration Head Dmytro Zhyvytskyi on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The following communities came under enemy fire: Velyka Pysarivka, Krasnopillia, Myropillia, Yunakivka, Khotin and Shalyhyne.

In particular, Russian invaders struck the Velyka Pysarivka community with self-propelled artillery six times.

The Khotin community came under enemy fire twice. A total of 34 explosions were recorded within the border area.

In the Shalyhyne community, Russian troops used grenade launchers to open fire. Five explosions were recorded.

In the Krasnopillia community, Russians twice dropped explosives with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and launched 15 strikes with self-propelled artillery.

In the Yunakivka community, the enemy launched 10 artillery strikes within the border area.

In the Myropillia community, four artillery strikes were recorded, and nine enemy shells exploded within the border area.

According to Zhyvytskyi, a power transmission line and three detached houses were damaged.
