Azerbaijan sends transformers, generators to Ukraine

Azerbaijan has sent a batch of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, including 45 transformers and 50 generators.

That's according to Azertac, which refers to Azerenergy OJSC, Ukrinform reports.

"Trucks with 45 transformers and the first batch of 50 generators, provided by Azerenergy OJSC, were sent today from the territory of the Gobu energy hub with the participation of the ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan and representatives of Azerenergy OJSC," the report said.

A second caravan of trucks is to be sent in the coming days.

In total, Azerbaijan will provide Ukraine with basic electrical equipment worth about 1.422 million manats ($837,000).

The report also states that the total amount of humanitarian aid provided by Azerbaijan to Ukraine is about 30 million manats (almost $17.7 million), as part of which School No. 12 named after Zarifa Aliyeva in Irpin has been completely restored, and about 90 Ukrainian children, affected by the war, are undergoing medical and social-psychological rehabilitation in Azerbaijan.
