More than five border settlements in Kharkiv region come under enemy shelling

The Russian troops fired artillery and mortars at more than five settlements in Kharkiv region in the past 24 hours.

Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The enemy continues shelling the settlements of Kharkiv region, which are located not far from the contact line and the border with the Russian Federation. Over the past day, the areas of Kupiansk, Zolochiv, Dvorichna, Strelecha, Berestove and others settlements came under artillery and mortar shelling," he wrote.

According to him, a fire broke out in warehouses in Kupiansk following the shelling. An administrative building was damaged in Zolochiv and an infrastructure object in the Zolochiv community. Fortunately, no one was injured, Syniehubov added.

Mine clearance works are underway in Kharkiv region. Over the past day, 122 explosive objects were neutralized in the region.

As Ukrinform reported, Ukraine’s Air Force shot down 10 out of 15 enemy Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones over Kherson, Mykolaiv and Odesa regions on the night of December 10.
