Russian forces injure 851 children in Ukraine

As many as 440 children have been killed and 851 others injured as a result of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office said this in a statement on Telegram.

"As of the morning of November 27, 2022, more than 1,291 children were killed or injured in Ukraine as a result of Russia's full-scale armed aggression. According to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 440 children were killed and more than 851 injured," the report said.

The figures are not final as work is ongoing to establish them in places of active hostilities and in temporarily captured and liberated territories.

Most children were killed or injured in Donetsk region - 424, Kharkiv region - 266, Kyiv region - 117, Mykolaiv region - 77, Zaporizhzhia region - 76, Kherson region- 70, Chernihiv region - 68, Luhansk region - 64, and Dnipropetrovsk region - 33.

On November 26, a 17-year-old boy was wounded in the enemy shelling of Dnipro.

On the same day, a 10-year-old boy was injured in the Russian shelling of Chornobaivka, Kherson region.

As many as 2,719 educational institutions have been damaged due to Russian bombardment and shelling and 332 of them have been destroyed.

On November 26, a two-day-old boy was buried in Vilniansk, Zaporizhzhia region. The child was killed by a Russian missile that hit a maternity hospital.
