Russian armed aggression affects over 1,275 children in Ukraine

A total of 437 children have been killed and over 838 injured in Ukraine since the Russian invasion started.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“As of November 20, 2022, over 1,275 children in Ukraine were affected by the Russian armed aggression. According to the data from juvenile prosecutors, a total of 437 children were killed and over 838 received injuries of various severity levels,” the report states.

These data are not final, as they are being investigated within the areas of hostilities, temporarily occupied and liberated areas.

Currently, most casualties were recorded in the Donetsk region (424), Kharkiv region (266), Kyiv region (117), Mykolaiv region (77), Zaporizhzhia region (75), Chernihiv region (68), Luhansk region (64), Kherson region (64), and Dnipropetrovsk region (32).

On November 19, 2022, a 15-year-old teenager was injured in Russia’s shelling of the Donetsk region’s Vuhledar.

As a result of Russia’s daily air and artillery strikes, a total of 2,719 educational institutions were damaged across Ukraine, and 332 of them were destroyed completely.
