Two women injured in strike on Nikopol district

The enemy shelled Nikopol district, Dnipropetrovsk region, injuring two civilians and damaging dozens of houses.

"At night, Nikopol once again came under enemy fire. The Russians hit Nikopol and Marhanets communities with Grad MLRS and heavy artillery. Nikopol suffered the most. Almost 40 deadly shells slammed into the town at night," Valentyn Reznichenko, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, posted on Telegram.

Two women, 46 and 82, were injured. Both were taken to a local hospital in moderate condition.

In the town, more than 40 apartment blocks and private houses, more than two dozen commercial buildings, several gas pipelines and power lines were damaged.

Russian shells completely destroyed one house and caused two fires – in an apartment and in a private yard. The fires were put out.

A local college, a civil registry office, an administrative building, and a repair shop were also damaged in the attacks.

Residents of Marhanets community were not injured. Private houses were damaged.
