Zelensky holds meeting to discuss situation on southern front

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held another meeting of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on Friday.

That’s according to the press service of the head of state, Ukrinform reports.

“The reports of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the commanders of the operational areas regarding the situation on the front line were heard. The members of the Headquarters paid special attention to the events in the southern direction of the front,” the statement said.

The participants in the meeting also outlined priorities to stabilize the situation in the recently de-occupied territories.

In addition, the members of the Headquarters discussed the effectiveness of protecting the energy infrastructure from enemy attacks and restoring facilities damaged by shelling.

Ukraine’s Minister of Defense Oleksii Reznikov, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov, Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service Oleksandr Lytvynenko, Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, commanders of troops of operational directions and head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak attended the meeting.

Interior Minister Denys Monastyrskyi, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov, other government members, heads of security and law enforcement agencies also joined the meeting.
