Dutch forces to train Ukrainian soldiers within EU mission

The Netherlands plans to send 50 to 100 military personnel as part of the EU mission to train the Ukrainian military.

This was stated by the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, Kajsa Ollongren, Ukrinform reports with reference to RTL Nieuws.

"The Netherlands plans to send 50 to 100 military personnel to participate in the EU mission to train the Ukrainian military. This number is an addition to the 90 servicemen who are currently training the Ukrainian military in Great Britain," Ollongren said.

Active cooperation with the German military will be carried out during the training program. The mission will also operate mainly in Germany and Poland. It is not yet known when these training sessions will launch.

It is known that, in particular, Dutch servicemen will teach Ukrainians tactical medicine, explosives disposal, tactical and technical training in weapons systems, and training of staff officers of battalions and brigades.

As reported, the Netherlands will provide Ukraine with EUR 15 million worth of anti-aircraft missiles for air and missile defense.
