Ukrainian forces destroy two tanks, four ammunition depots, 47 invaders in south

The situation in the operational zone on the Southern Bug axis has not changed significantly.

Ukraine's Operational Command South said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.

"The defense forces are holding their lines, with stabilization measures being carried out in liberated territories. The enemy is trying to hold the defense amid limited logistics, demoralization of the military, conducting the evacuation of state institutions and management staff," the report said.

At the same time, a counter-battery confrontation continues along the contact line. The enemy fires at Ukrainian positions, using army aviation, multiple launch rocket systems, field artillery and mortars, including against nearby communities. Russian forces continue to attack the rear areas with missile strikes, kamikaze drones, rocket launchers and heavy artillery.

After massive attacks on critical infrastructure almost all over Ukraine, the enemy again shelled the Nikopol district.

The Chervonohryhorivka community came under MLRS fire. Three civilians were injured. Several private houses and commercial buildings were damaged.

In response to three Russian helicopter airstrikes, Ukrainian anti-aircraft fighters responded by shooting down one more enemy Alligator -- the second during this combat day -- and with five strikes by attack and army aircraft on areas of concentration of weapons and equipment, manpower and air defense systems.

Missile and artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine performed more than 200 fire missions on October 22.

Estimated enemy losses include 47 personnel, two tanks, a Grad MLRS, an anti-tank missile system, 16 armored vehicles and four warehouses with ammunition in the Pervomaiske and Beryslav districts.

A Msta-S self-propelled howitzer and three more units of enemy armored vehicles were damaged.
