Reznikov: Ukrainian air defense units down about 60% of enemy air targets

Ukrainian air defense units already shoot down about 60% of enemy air targets, and the results will be even better in the near future.

"Our modern Air Force, air defense systems now shoot down approximately 60% of air targets that pose threat and cause death: cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and so on. And drones are shot down even more efficiently. But, of course, each new element is an opportunity to protect critical infrastructure objects first, then settlements, etc. We have a big country, so there is something to protect," Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov said during the nationwide telethon.

According to him, the authorities are determined to work towards shielding the sky even more effectively. The minister believes that it will be possible to significantly strengthen air defense in a couple of months. In general, Reznikov emphasized that even the most advanced air defense systems in the world do not guarantee 100% result. If it is possible to down at least 80% targets, this is considered a very high result.

As reported, Russia has been launching massive strikes on the civilian energy infrastructure of Ukraine with missiles and kamikaze drones since October 10. As a result, more than 45 energy facilities were damaged. Power supply restrictions were already introduced in the center and north of Ukraine.
