Energoatom: About 50 ZNPP employees held in Russian captivity

Petro Kotin, Head of Ukraine's state nuclear agency Energoatom, said that about 50 employees of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant were held in Russian captivity.

Kotin told AFP that more than 150 people from the staff of the plant were captured since the start of the Russian invasion in late February, Barrons informs.

"Some of them were later released, but there are those whose fate is still unknown," he noted.

On October 17, Russian invaders detained head of ZNPP’s information technology department Oleh Kostyukov and plant's assistant general director Oleh Osheka and took them in an unknown direction.
