Eighteen settlements come under enemy fire in Donetsk region

Russian troops have opened fire on 18 settlements in the Donetsk region over the past day. Casualties among civilians were reported.

The relevant statement was made by the National Police of Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In particular, Russian invaders used aircraft, the Grad multiple launch rocket systems, missile systems, artillery and mortars to strike such settlements as Kurakhove, Avdiivka, Toretsk, Vuhledar, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Velyka Novosilka, Pivnichne, New York, Novoukrainka, Karlivka, Bohoiavlenka, Soloviove, Katerynivka, Vremivka, Klishchiivka, Khromove and Voskresenka.

A total of 37 civilian objects were damaged, including 18 residential houses, thermal power plant, mine, sanitary and epidemiological station, farm enterprise, household buildings, garages and cars.

In the city of Kurakhove, Russian invaders struck a critical infrastructure facility. One civilian was reported killed and more injured.

The Bakhmut direction is remaining under continuous artillery strikes. Civilians were reported killed in Kurdiumivka, Siversk and Bakhmut. Infrastructure objects and detached houses were damaged.

A reminder that, on October 18, 2022, four civilians were killed and 12 injured in Russia’s shelling of the Donetsk region.
