223 Iranian suicide drones shot down in Ukraine over 36 days

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have shot down 223 Iranian-manufactured Shahed-136 suicide drones over the past 36 days.

The relevant statement was made by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Since the moment the first Iranian-manufactured Shahed-136 suicide drone was shot down within the territory of Ukraine (September 13, Kupiansk), the Air Force’s anti-aircraft defense units and other units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces have destroyed 223 unmanned aerial vehicles of that type,” the report states.

The Shahed-136 loitering munitions, marked by Russian invaders as Geran-2, are destroyed with air defense missile units, fighter jets, self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicles, man-portable air-defense systems, anti-aircraft guns, heavy machine guns and other weapons.

A reminder that Ukraine’s anti-aircraft defense units destroy 85% of the Shahed-136 drones used by Russian invaders.
