Bodies of 35 service members, 152 civilians already exhumed in Lyman

As of October 17, the bodies of 35 service members and 152 civilians were exhumed in de-occupied Lyman in Donetsk region.

"The bodies of 34 members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were exhumed in Lyman. Over the past day, the body of another serviceman was found in a separate grave in the territory of the town. As for civilians, 152 bodies were exhumed from both mass and individual graves," Oleksandra Havrylko, press officer of the Donetsk region police department, said during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

As noted, investigators continue to work at the burial sites, and the number of discovered bodies increases every day.

Havrylko said that most exhumed bodies had signs of fatal mine blast injuries, some had signs of natural death, there are also bodies with signs of gunshot wounds.

As reported, local residents pointed to two mass graves in de-occupied Lyman. The bodies of soldiers were found in one of them and the bodies of civilians in the other.
