Klitschko: Among victims of Russian strike on Kyiv young couple expecting child

Bodies of a Ukrainian couple who were expecting a child were retrieved from under the rubble of a residential building hit by the Russian strike on Kyiv Monday morning.

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"During search and rescue operation in a residential building in the city center, hit by a Russian drone, the bodies of three civilians were pulled out," Klitschko said.

Among them is a young couple, a husband and wife who were expecting a child. The woman was six months pregnant.

"Russia is a terrorist state!" Klitschko emphasized.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, five enemy strikes were recorded in Kyiv as of 9:00 local time on Monday.
