Russian forces shell border areas of Sumy region, killing civilian

The Russian army this afternoon shelled two border settlements of the Sumy region.

Ukraine's Operational Command North said this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

From 12:10 to 12:15, observers recorded three strikes, probably from a 120mm mortar, in the area of the settlement of Seredyna-Buda.

From 14:35 to 14:55, about five more hits were recorded, probably from a 120mm mortar, near Bachivsk.

There are no losses among personnel and equipment.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Tymoshenko, in turn, wrote on Telegram that the Russian invaders attacked the Myronivka community of the Sumy region from a drone.

"The drone brought death right next to a store in the Myronivka merged territorial community. Terrorists, nonhumans and murderers – that's how the whole world should know about the Russians!" he said.

According to Tymoshenko, one person died in the shelling.
