Russians have injured 771 children in Ukraine

Russian troops have injured 771 children in Ukraine.

"As of the morning of September 23, 2022, more than 1,162 children were affected in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. According to the official information of juvenile prosecutors, 391 children were killed and more than 771 were injured," the Prosecutor General's Office posted on Telegram.

The data are not final, as work is ongoing to establish the casualties in the areas of active hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

Most children were affected in Donetsk region – 400, Kharkiv region – 229, Kyiv region – 116, Mykolaiv region – 72, Chernihiv region – 68, Luhansk region – 61, Kherson region – 55, Zaporizhzhia region – 47, Dnipropetrovsk region – 26.

On September 22, a 15-year-old girl was injured in a Russian strike on Toretsk, Donetsk region.

On the same day, two children, aged 7 and 13, were injured in the enemy shelling of Kupyansk, Kharkiv region.

On September 21, a 13-year-old boy was injured in the shelling of Kupyansk.

A total of 2,500 educational institutions were damaged in the Russian attacks. Of them, 289 were completely destroyed.
