Zelensky holds Supreme Commander-in-Chief HQ meeting to discuss response to Russian actions

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has chaired another meeting of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief to discuss the operational situation at the front and possible actions by Russian forces in the near future.

That's according to the press service of the head of state, Ukrinform reports.

"The heads of the defense forces and the commanders of the operational areas reported on the operational situation on the front lines. The likely nature of the enemy's actions in the near future was considered," the report said.

Members of the Headquarters also analyzed the provision of the Ukrainian defense forces with weapons and ammunition.

The participants in the meeting paid special attention to the steps of responding to new challenges related to the announcement of mobilization by the aggressor country and preparations for pseudo-referendums in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

According to the President's Office, the meeting was attended by Minister of Defense Oleksii Reznikov, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate Kyrylo Budanov, Interior Minister Denys Monastyrskyi, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov, heads of security and law enforcement agencies, Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov and others.

Commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander of the Forces of the Operational Command West Serhii Litvinov and Commander of the Forces of the Operational Command South Andrii Kovalchuk joined the meeting via video link.

On September 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on "partial mobilization." Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced that 300,000 reservists would be drafted in Russia for its war in Ukraine.
