Two civilians killed, 11 more injured in Donetsk region over past day

Two civilians were killed and 11 more were injured in Russian shelling of Donetsk region on September 16.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, said in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

"On September 16, Russians killed two civilians in Donetsk region: in Sviatohirsk and Bakhmut. Eleven more people were injured,” he wrote.

Overall, 853 civilians have been killed and 2,135 injured in Donetsk region since the full-scale invasion started.

The regional governor noted that it is currently impossible to determine the exact number of casualties in Mariupol and Volnovakha.

As reported, Donetsk region is constantly under enemy fire, there is no gas supply in the region, and there are constant problems with water supply. The enemy shells and destroys educational institutions, healthcare institutions, cultural centers, residential buildings and all civilian infrastructure. The mandatory evacuation from the region has been announced.
