Enemy shells Pokrovsk with Iskanders five times in past day, casualties reported

The Russians shelled the town of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, having launched five Iskander missiles.

That’s according to Pokrovsk Mayor Ruslan Trebushkin, Ukrinform reports.

"The town of Pokrovsk was hit by five 9М723 Iskander M type missiles in the period from 21:20 to 02:20," the mayor wrote on Telegram.

According to the report, more than 20 residential buildings and railway infrastructure were damaged. He added that due to shelling, the work of the Karlivska water filtering station has not yet been restored, so water supply to the Pokrovsk community remains suspended.

Later, Trebushkin reported in Telegram that as of 10:10 on Sunday, as a result of overnight shelling, six citizens had been killed.

According to the mayor, utility services are now assisting local residents in clearing rubble.

"We will try to bring the damaged buildings back into habitable condition as soon as possible," the official assured local residents.

The mayor also announced the evacuation to the Czech Republic by train.

As reported by Ukrinform, Russian troops killed 10 civilians in Donetsk region on September 10.
