742 children injured due to Russian aggression in Ukraine

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian troops have killed 383 children and injured 742 children in Ukraine.

"As of the morning of September 8, 2022, more than 1,125 children were killed or injured in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. According to the official information of the juvenile prosecutors, 383 children were killed and more than 742 children were injured," the Prosecutor General's Office posted on Telegram.

It is emphasized that these numbers are not final as efforts are ongoing to establish the casualties in the areas of active hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

Most children were killed or injured in Donetsk region – 389, Kharkiv region – 205, Kyiv region – 116, Mykolaiv region – 72, Chernihiv region – 68, Luhansk region – 61, Kherson region – 55, Zaporizhzhia region – 46, Dnipropetrovsk region – 26.

As a result of bombing and shelling by the Russian invaders, 2,472 educational institutions were damaged, 289 of them were completely destroyed.

As reported, according to the information of the Prosecutor General's Office, 228 children are considered missing in Ukraine as of the beginning of September.
