Transportation arteries in south under fire control of Ukrainian troops

The transportation arteries in the south of Ukraine are under fire control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The situation in the south is difficult, but controlled by the Defense Forces. We continue positional battles, consolidate and improve our position along the front line. We continue taking measures to destroy the enemy's forces and capacities, in particular logistics. The enemy tries to maneuver, but we expose their plans. We continue to exercise fire control of transportation arteries and destroy the alternative crossings that the enemy arranges," Natalia Humeniuk, head of the joint coordination press center of the Defense Forces of South of Ukraine, said during the nationwide telethon.

Humeniuk added that three pontoon crossings had been destroyed last week, and one more this week. She emphasized that it was not easy for the enemy to hold the captured territories.

"They understand they have nowhere to redeploy new forces from. Although the command of the occupation forces tries to simulate the redeployment of reserves by maneuvering. That is, the units move from one direction to another. But still, their communication reveals that the forces are at the finish line. This prompts them to lay down their arms and to surrender openly," said the head of the center.

As reported, the military units, which can be used in the war against Ukraine, are being formed in the Russian-occupied Crimea.
