Three people rescued from rubble of apartment building in Kharkiv

In Kharkiv, three people were rescued from the rubble after Russian missiles struck a residential building on the morning of September 6.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

“Rescuers are clearing rubble in the center of Kharkiv. Three people - two women and a man - have already been rescued from the ruins of a residential building. According to preliminary information, they were not injured," Terekhov said.

He added that rescue operations are ongoing.

Serhiy Bolvinov, the head of the investigative department of the National Police in Kharkiv region, said in a Facebook post that three floors in the central part of the five-storey building were destroyed. The second missile hit an area close to the building.

In addition, Mayor Terekhov during a nationwide telethon on TV channels said that the residential building was seriously damaged, while the second building, which was also hit by missile attack, was not so badly damaged.

As reported, Russian troops struck a residential building in the center of Kharkiv on September 6 at around 09:30. Later another explosion occurred, which damaged an administrative building.
