Russian forces shell 20 settlements across Zaporizhia region in past day

Russian invaders shelled civilian infrastructure in 20 settlements of Zaporizhia region on Thursday.

That’s according to the Regional Military Administration, Ukrinform reports.

"Over the past day, the occupiers shelled civilian infrastructure in the areas of Orikhiv, Preobrazhenka, Novopavlivka, Novodanilivka, Olhivske, Stepnohirsk, Mala Tokmachka, Hulyaipole, Novodarivka, Zaliznychne, Chervone, Charivne, Novoandriivka, Bilohirya, Shcherbaky, Novopokrovka, Malynyvka, Poltavka, Dorozhnianka, and Kamianske," the statement reads.

Fourteen reports were received confirming the destruction of civil infrastructure facilities as a result of Russian shelling.

Throughout the past day, the civilian population continued to evacuate the temporarily occupied territory. A total of 1,027 people were evacuated, including 271 children.

As reported, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk recommends that the Ukrainians fleeing the most dangerous territories not plan to return home until spring.
