Four Russian missile carriers remain combat ready in Black Sea

Four Russian warships, carrying 24 Kalibr-type cruise missiles, are remaining combat ready in the Black Sea.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In the Sea of Azov, Russian forces continue to control maritime communications, keeping up to four ships and boats combat ready. In the Mediterranean Sea, there are five Russian Kalibr-type cruise missile carriers.

Over the past day, in the interests of the Russian Federation, passage through the Kerch-Yenikale Canal has been carried out as follows: 38 vessels sailed into the Sea of Azov, including nine vessels from the Bosphorus Strait; eight vessels sailed into the Black Sea, and two of them went towards the Bosphorus Strait.

According to the Ukrainian Naval Forces, Russia continues to violate the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS 1974), turning off automatic identification systems (AIS) on civilian vessels in the Sea of Azov.

A reminder that, between February 24, 2022 and August 28, 2022, Russia’s total combat losses in Ukraine reached about 46,750 troops.
