One civilian killed, two others injured by invaders in Donetsk region in past day

Russian forces killed one civilian and injured two others in Donetsk region on August 23.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, said in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

"On August 23, Russians killed one civilian in Donetsk region – in Bakhmut. Two more people were injured,” he wrote.

Overall, a total of 759 civilians have been killed and 1,952 injured in Donetsk region since the Russian full-scale invasion started.

The regional governor noted that it is currently impossible to determine the exact number of casualties in Mariupol and Volnovakha.

On February 24, Russia launched a new phase of its eight-year war against Ukraine – a full-scale invasion.
