Russian troops have struck the Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University in Mykolaiv with two missiles.

Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

"The Rashists fired at another university in Mykolaiv - our Mohyla University," the report reads.

Sienkevych noted that a few days ago, he published a video showing that there is no military base in the premises of the university.

"And tonight, two Russian missiles were fired there. These are real terrorists who, under the guise of their propaganda, continue to cynically destroy our educational institutions," the mayor said.

According to him, only a security guard was in the university at the time of the strike. He was not injured.

Houses opposite the university building were damaged by debris and the shock wave.
