Fifteen settlements come under enemy fire in Donetsk Region: Police show aftermath

In Donetsk Region, a total of 15 settlements have come under enemy fire over the past day. Casualties among civilians were reported.

The relevant statement was made by the National Police of Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The police documented 22 war crimes committed by the Russian Federation. Civilians were killed and injured as a result of shelling by Russian troops,” the report states.

In particular, the enemy shelling affected the following settlements: Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Mykolaivka, Kostiantynivka, Vuhledar, Krasnohorivka, Raihorodok, Velyka Novosilka, New York, Andriivka, Halytsynivka, Karlivka, Pervomaiske, Lastochkyne and Heorhiivka.

The Russian army used the S-300 missile system, artillery, Grad and Smerch multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) against civilians.

A total of 38 objects were destroyed, namely 31 residential houses, thermal power plant (TPP), filtering station, hangar, wheat field and civilian cars.

The police opened criminal proceedings in accordance with Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war).

A reminder that, on August 13, 2022, two civilians were killed and 10 injured in Russia’s shelling of Donetsk Region.
