At least one injured in Russian shelling of Mykolaiv

Russian troops shelled Mykolaiv on the evening of August 13, with at least one person injured after a rocket exploded near a residential building.

Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

"Mykolaiv came under shelling at about 20:00. In one of the districts, a rocket exploded near a residential building. We are investigating the consequences. So far, we know of one injured person," the report said.

More than 6,000 residential buildings have been damaged in the Mykolaiv region since the Russian invasion of Ukraine began in late February.
