Russian forces struck border areas of Sumy, Chernihiv regions more than 200 times

Russian troops shelled four communities in Sumy region and one in Chernihiv region, according to the State Border Service of Ukraine.

"Four communities in Sumy region and one community in Chernihiv region came under enemy fire. The enemy fired mortars, barrel and rocket artillery, 122-mm self-propelled guns, Grad MLRS,” the State Border Service wrote on Telegram.

It is noted that the enemy launched about 200 attacks from the Russian settlements of Elizavetovka, Obod, Tyotkino, Popovo-Lezhachi and Kurkovichi.

The State Border Guard Service emphasizes that private houses were damaged and a wheat field was burned down by the enemy shelling.

As Ukrinform reported, Russian forces on August 11 shelled seven regions of Ukraine, killing seven civilians in Donetsk region.
