1 killed, 5 injured in Russian strikes on Kharkiv region

One person was killed and five more were injured in Russian strikes on Kharkiv region.

"According to the Regional Center of Emergency Medical Assistance, one person was killed and five people were injured in occupiers’ attacks on Kharkiv region over the past day," Oleh Synehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, posted on Telegram.

One person was killed and one person was injured in Kharkiv city in yesterday morning's MLRS strike. Four people were hospitalized in the region: a woman, 71, in Chuhuiv district, two men, 72 and 45, in Derhachi community, a man, 59, in Kutuzivka. According to Synehubov, two patients are in serious condition.

The Administration reported that the enemy has struck Kharkiv at night again.

"According to preliminary information, missiles were fired. Their type is being established by law enforcement officers. At night, around 02:00, the enemy attacked Shevchenkivsky and Industrialny districts of the city. In Shevchenkivsky district, the occupiers damaged a hotel and restaurant complex. Another strike was recorded in an open area in Industrialny district, elements of transport and critical infrastructure were damaged. There are no casualties," the head of the region informed.

Also, during the past day, Russian troops shelled the populated localities of Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv, Kharkiv, Lozova, and Izium districts of the region. In particular, in Bohodukhiv district, a wheat field was on fire due to shelling. Farmers put out the fire on their own. Three hectares of crops were burnt out. In Chuhuiv district, a warehouse with seeds was destroyed.

"Active hostilities are ongoing on the contact line. In Kharkiv direction, the enemy fires on the Ukrainian positions with artillery and tanks, using aviation. The Ukrainian troops confidently hold their positions and fire back," Synehubov said.

As reported, on the night of August 8, the invaders massively shelled the village of Pechenihy, Chuhuiv district. One person was killed, two more were injured.
