Russian troops open fire on 17 settlements in Donetsk Region, casualties reported

Over the past day, Russian troops have opened fire on 17 settlements in Donetsk Region. Casualties among civilians were reported.

The relevant statement was made by the National Police of Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In particular, the following settlements came under enemy fire: Avdiivka, Vuhledar, Bakhmut, Kramatorsk, Mykolaivka, Velyka Novosilka, Krasnohorivka, Sloviansk, Zalizne, Kamianka, Vodiane, Ivanivske, Kurdiumivka, Yasnobrodivka, Karlivka, Pervomaiske and New York.

Russians struck cities and villages with aviation and R-500 Iskander-K missiles, artillery and Grad MLRS, leaving civilians killed and injured.

The enemy damaged and destroyed 52 civilian objects, namely 37 residential houses, hospital, outpatient department, bus station in Sloviansk, railway infrastructure, coke and chemical plant, etc.

A reminder that, on July 29, 2022, six civilians were killed and 15 injured in Russia’s shelling of Donetsk Region.
