Russian troops shell Sloviansk, civilians trapped under rubble

The Russian military shelled the town of Sloviansk, Donetsk region.

Some people remain under the rubble of destroyed buildings. Casualties are reported, according to the head of the local military administration, Vadym Lyakh, as seen by Ukrinform.

"Unfortunately, Sloviansk was shelled again. Four explosions. Many households are damaged, people are trapped under the rubble, there are wounded. Fortunately, there’s no one confirmed as killed yet," Lyakh said in his video address.

The official also posted on social media footage and photos from the scene of the attack.

Data on the victims and the scale of the destruction are currently being clarified, the city administration added.

As reported by Ukrinform, in the afternoon of July 19, in Donetsk region, Russian troops carried out an airstrike on the center of Kramatorsk, resulting in one person being killed.

Fires broke out in residential apartment buildings.

On the morning of July 19, the enemy also launched rocket attacks on the industrial facilities in Kramatorsk.
