Enemy attacks destroy houses, hit port in Nikopol

Houses were destroyed, port and enterprises were hit as a result of night Russian shelling of Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region.

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, released several photos featuring the aftermath of the night shelling of Nikopol on Telegram.

"Nikopol after the night shelling. Consequences of the ‘work’ of the Russian occupation troops," Lukashuk wrote.

He noted that the air raid siren had sounded for more than 19 hours which had not happened before.

According to the press service of the Dnipropetrovsk Region Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the power grids on two streets were cut off due to shelling. The enemy launched 40 strikes on the city. Two industrial enterprises were hit and partially destroyed. As a result of the shelling, a fire broke out. Several private houses and an outbuilding were also struck.

As reported, Russian troops opened fire on Nikopol and Kryvyi Rih districts. Up to 40 rockets were fired at Nikopol.
