Five-month-old baby injured in Russian strike on Odesa region

A 5-month-old baby was injured in Russian strike on Odesa region on the night of July 19. In total, more than 1,019 Ukrainian children have already been affected by the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation.

"More than 1,019 children in Ukraine have been affected by the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. As of the morning of July 19, 2022, the official number of killed children – 353 – did not change over past day, while the number of the injured – more than 676 – increased. These numbers are not final, as the efforts to establish casualties are being made in the areas of active hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories," the Prosecutor General's Office posted on Telegram.

Most children were affected in Donetsk region – 357, Kharkiv region – 191, Kyiv region – 116, Chernihiv region – 68, Luhansk region – 61, Mykolaiv region – 53, Kherson region – 52, Zaporizhzhia region – 40.

"On the night of July 19, six people, including a 5-month-old baby, were injured in the enemy rocket strike on Odesa region. Moreover, while recording crimes committed in Zaporizhzhia region, it became known about nine children aged 4 to 16 years injured in the occupiers’ shelling of civilian objects," the report reads.

On February 24, Russia began a new stage of the eight-year war against Ukraine – a full-scale offensive. The enemy massively shells and bombs Ukrainian cities and villages. The Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Territorial Defense Forces, and the entire Ukrainian people effectively resist the Russian troops and inflict heavy losses on them.
